In short

This website works without cookies, tracking and analytics tools. We only process personal data in two places: as technically necessary when delivering the pages, and when you give us your email address in the notification form.

Hosting and delivery

Pages are delivered via Cloudflare’s global network so they load quickly everywhere. On each visit, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (IP address, time, requested file, browser type) in server logs; we use them for security and troubleshooting. Our database is located in the Netherlands; files and archives are stored in Cloudflare storage with a fixed EU jurisdiction.

The demo

The public demo starts with prepared sample trips; there is no sign-up. Some additional features use external services – such as map routing, place search, weather and push notifications via your browser’s service. These services receive location information, not personal data.

The notification form

If you ask to be notified, we process your email address on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – solely to tell you once your own itineraries and bookable plans are released. For sending we use the email service Emailit (emailit.com) as a processor. You will receive a confirmation email; beyond that we only write for the stated occasion.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to hello@maps.express; we will then delete your address, or at the latest when the purpose ceases to apply. We do not share it for advertising purposes.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as a right to object. You can also complain to the competent supervisory authority – for us that is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

Status and changes

Status: October 2026. If our processing changes – for example when your own itineraries with AI are released – we will update this policy here.
